Chris brings over 25 years of communication, graphic design, creative direction, and brand strategy experience to her clients at Red Thread Brands. Chris is dedicated to helping deliver on organizational objectives and works to see a world where everyone is inspired and passionate about their work everyday. Prior to founding Red Thread Brands, Chris has worked at institutions of higher learning and with various advertising agencies, learning what empowers - or discourages - people both from within and outside organizations. She holds dual degrees - a BS in mass communications (focused on TV & film production), and a BFA with an emphasis in graphic design. When she’s not developing strategy, Chris can be found enjoying music, art, cooking and her dogs.
Alex has 15 years of agency and internal marketing experience across a wide range of industries including tech startups, industrial corporations, professional services organizations, healthcare, and consumer brands. Her experience spans brand advertising to digital marketing and media buying and she has contributed to multiple award-winning projects for branding, websites, and more. Alex graduated from The University of Texas Moody College of Communications with a BS in advertising and an emphasis in media planning. She loves how marketing and communications merge the creative and business sides of her brain and revels in helping her clients achieve their marketing and business goals. When she’s not making magic happen for Red Thread, Alex dabbles in jewelry making and loves to garden, read, and cook.
Melanie comes from a marketing background and holds an MBA from The University of Southern Mississippi. Her experience includes project management, copywriting/editing, art direction, campaign creation, and advertising. As a member of Red Thread Brands, Melanie oversees client accounts and produces creative content, in addition to working closely with the other members of the team on brand strategy, digital marketing, and graphic design. Melanie also holds an undergraduate degree in foreign languages, a masters degree in music, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in vocal performance. With over twenty-five years experience in sales and sales management, most of which were in advertising (broadcast television, digital, and print), Becky is thrilled to be working again with Chris Adams as an account manager. A fairly recent empty-nester, Becky moved with her husband from the big city of Nashville, TN to a small country town of no more than 500 residents and feels that working remotely with Red Thread is a gift. An early riser with a zest for life, there aren’t enough hours in the day for all of the activities she enjoys doing; work tops the list, followed by gardening of all types, distance running, raising chickens, playing with her two very large dogs, and dancing in community theatre.
Gia brings her Cajun-Italian joie de vivre to the group, as well as many years of experience in organizing and producing events. After receiving a BA in Music from Converse College (Spartanburg, SC) in 2011, Gia landed a coveted job at a world-renowned music venue in her hometown of New Orleans, LA. Her nine years of managing various aspects of the venue and coordinating the tours of their primary traveling band have made her a master planner with serious attention to detail. Seeing project details come together and fit like pieces of a puzzle is incredibly satisfying to Gia and is what makes her a great account manager. When she’s not solving marketing puzzles, Gia sings in an 8-piece caribbean-inspired rock & roll band called Marina Orchestra. She also loves to get costumed and glittered up to dance in New Orleans parades as a member of the women’s marching krewe, the Camel Toe Lady Steppers.

Kat Van Skiver
Kat was born and raised in south Mississippi. She spent her formative years in Jackson and Biloxi, before moving to Hattiesburg for college in 2008. After completing her B.F.A. in Graphic Design at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2012, she began working for the university’s communications office, where she spent the next 9 years developing her skills as an effective communicator and designer. Kat has a strong working relationship not only with her communications team, but with clients, printers and any other external vendors she works with as well. In her personal time, she enjoys landscape and abstract photography, spending hours wandering Treasure Hunt, relaxing at the park with her 2 dogs, and re-watching anything produced by Michael Schur at least 15 times.
